DMX Has Died at 50

Image
According to a family representative, DMX has passed away. The musician was taken to the hospital on April 2 in White Plains, New York, following an alleged opioid overdose and subsequent heart attack. He was 50 years old at the time. DMX was born Earl Simmons in Mount Vernon, New York, but grew up in Yonkers, New York. Growing up in an oppressive family and spending time in boys' homes and, later, juvenile prisons, he had a tumultuous childhood. He began composing music while staying at one of those boys' homes, ultimately teaming up with producer Ready Ron. RIP to DMX, a true legend.

Beanzy Is Back With New Song "Ms. Crazy" Produced by Bobby Sacramone!

Image
Just a couple of months after Beanzy and Bobby Sacramone released their second full length album, they are back with a summer smash titled "Ms. Crazy." Backed by a smooth guitar loop over some Bobby Sac drums, Beanzy finds himself singing more than rapping in this particular song, a shift in tone from some of his other work. This song will surely be a nice song to listen to in the summer! https://song.link/us/i/1560335413

EMINEM SAYS HE SPENT $600 ON NAS 'ILLMATIC' CASSETTE TAPE

Image
Over the weekend, Eminem was on the Clubhouse app to promote his new gathering, ShadyCon, which featured NFT auctions.  Eminem ended up talking about his extensive memorabilia collection. Em said in a statement prior to the Clubhouse meeting, "I've been collecting since I was a kid, everything from comic books to baseball cards to toys, as well as every rap album on cassette I could get my hands on." “As an adult, not much has changed for me.” When Eminem arrived in the Clubhouse area, he was asked to elaborate on the subject, which he gladly did, but one piece of memorabilia stood out: an unopened cassette tape of Nas' classic debut Illmatic, which Eminem said he paid about $500 or $600 for. I have been collecting Eminem memorabilia since I was 11, so this was very exciting even though everything was $500-$5,000 (the grand prize ended up selling for $100,000)

Lotherapper Links With Bobby Sacramone For "Here to Stay"

Image
The Chosen One - EP by Lotherapper I met Loren some years back on an AAU basketball team, and our mutual love for music kept us in touch since then. When I was producing an album with many different artists, I saved a particular beat for him to spit on and he laid a verse on it for my album. When I was working on producing my cousins second album, I was sending some of the beats to Lo to see if he messed with them. He messed with one in particular so hard that his response was him with a verse on it. He went crazy on it, check it out here .

Link to Spotify When I first sent my cousin Rob a beat I made in 2018, I had no idea we would be where we were today. We do not live in the same state, as I am in Massachusetts and he is in Connecticut. So, I thought we could make some songs here and there for fun. Fast forward about two and a half years and we have two full length projects on all platforms that have garnered over 100,000 streams from all over the world. Thanks to everyone who listens and be on the lookout for another couple projects in 2021!
